Role Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for identifying new sales opportunities within existing accounts and prospective new accounts, partnering with GEHC account teams and cultivating business opportunities. Delivering and executing on quotas and targets as well as supporting success for our strategic and key accounts across the USCAN region. This position is for the Rocky Mountain territory.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Create a holistic territory plan and manage sales process from cold call to close to achieve annual operating plan by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage
  • Own cold call strategy, forecasting, funnel development and management, territory development and close deals within assigned geography. Achieve orders, sales and targets.
  • Develop and implement an annual business plan supporting attainment of quota and market share growth, and update on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Develop quota attainment business plan and account penetration strategies. Achieve sales quota through being able to demonstrate from our customers perspective, our solution and product portfolio, understanding customer's workflow requirements and designing, quoting and presenting the GE solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of IT and GEHC and competitive products.
  • Maintain satisfactory after-sale relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
  • Maintain complete knowledge of each account's current and long-term purchase plans and objectives, keeping management informed of all changes in plans, objectives and key buying influences
  • Provide input to Product teams, Sales, Marketing, and Support regarding customer business priorities, feedback and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with all key-buying influences in each account, including multiple levels within the customer's organization including billing office, department administrators, physicians, and the C suite to include CFO, CIO, CEO and CMO
  • With deep understanding of our solutions, evangelize our digital strategic direction and Precision Health and its benefits to the GEHC businesses, products and customers.
  • Offering deep understanding of digital solutions and the enterprises we serve, partner with the GEHC regional account teams to create demand for and bring solutions to our current and future customers.
  • Partnering with the GEHC regional account teams, build and execute on growth and enterprise strategies, cultivating and delivering business opportunities and growth.
  • Collaborate across GEHC businesses and account communities to ensure clear and effective communication throughout the customers enterprise including executives, key stakeholders, decision makers and influencers.
  • Facilitate communication across GE Healthcare and executive level partnerships with key customer decision makers and influencers.
  • Engage and facilitate teams and resources as needed to support the customer relationship and ensure a seamless, successful experience.
  • Gather information from resources internal and external to our customers to create a clear picture of their needs, their place in the market, and of what GE can provide to achieve their objectives
  • Analyzes sales pipeline and maintains an array of opportunities to ensure that sales goals are achieved
  • Successfully represent GE (internally and externally) at both a strategic and tactical levels including but not limited to sharing the GE strategy as well as participating in and/or leading a customer sales calls
  • Formulates the winning proposals based on a cohesive strategy that leverages deep knowledge of industry, customer and GE products.

  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of direct healthcare IT software sales experience; (OR High School Diploma/GED AND minimum 8 years of direct healthcare IT software sales experience)
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a complex sales environment, where multiple people or organizations are involved in the purchasing decisions
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of time, within territory and to nationwide sales meetings and trade shows; To the extent you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned/leased, privately owned/leased or rental vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record
  • Must live within the assigned territory.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Ability to travel 75%

  • Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry including interaction with hospital administration (i.e. account management, relationship-building experience)
  • Proven ability to build and sustain executive level relationships.
  • Demonstrated business management and resource allocation skills including business plan development.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate clearly. Exceptional listening and influencing skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers at all levels, able to synthesize complex issues and communicate simple messages.
  • Proven track record of year over year sales success in driving growth and/or quota attainment.
  • Proficiency in Strategic Selling principles and tools & nbsp;
  • Knowledge of GE Healthcare software solutions and products.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and success in fostering solid, value-based executive customer relationships
  • Prior experience working for a large company in a matrix environment.
  • Self-starter and independent thinker
  • Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration
  • Able to present in front of large groups, deal with ambiguity and demonstrate composure in stressful situations where competing priorities must be managed
  • Masters Degree
  • Live within territory.
