Position Description

Responsible for identifying, investigating, and implementing emerging new product opportunities to ensure Blue Cross of Idaho retains the market leader position for individual and group commercial health insurance products and value propositions (medical, dental, vision, ancillary, etc.) as assigned. This position will identify areas for growth and create strategic product roadmaps to help drive differentiable and sustainable products and services.

Position Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum qualifications required for the job)

  • Experience: Two (2) years' experience in product sales, provider network, product development, actuarial, or underwriting

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' of related work experience is equivalent to one year of college)

Required Experience: SR Level

  • Six years product lifecycle management

    Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (marketing or business related field preferred)

  • Strategic planning

  • Platform/ecosystem development


  • Product strategy development

  • Product lifecycle management

  • Multi-year product roadmap development

  • Business case development

  • Written and verbal communication including presenting to small and large groups

  • Initiative and drive

  • Microsoft Word - Intermediate

  • Microsoft Excel - Intermediate

  • Microsoft Outlook - Intermediate

  • Microsoft Access - Basic

  • Microsoft PowerPoint - Intermediate

  • Microsoft Project/Visio - Intermediate
